Unusual Allan Line cover – 1867, 1¢ (3), 5¢ (2) Cents tied by grid cancel on cover from Toronto paying 12½¢ Allan Line rate with dull rose strip of 3 and pair of 5¢ vermillion to Ireland. Overpaid a half cent for convenience.  Carried by the Hibernian from Quebec to Liverpool. Paid Derry Colonial Packet East on face. A rare franking of which only 5 have been recorded. Negligible flaws to cover. Ex de Volpi. $1,500.00
